So this is the collection of the work that got me fired from Best Buy for "participating in activities that conflict with the interests of Best Buy." (That is a quote from my Separation Notice.) I contemplated for quite some time whether or not to put this back up on my site, and ultimately decided that I am proud of the technical accomplishments of the work, as well as the questions that arise because of it, including the tactics and strategies of retail companies (including but not limited to Best Buy).

So for legal purposes (because legal action was threatened), I'm going to begin with the issue of the usage of copyrighted/trademarked images. Under the subject of "Fair Use" the U.S. Copyright Office website states that using such images is legal if it is for "nonprofit educational purposes" as well as "use in a parody of some of the content of the work parodied." So enough said; my work fits under all three of these categories.

Second I have to address the topic of defamation of character in the ways of both personal character and the character of the company. Let me begin by saying this work was parody, exaggeration, and it was meant to be completely humorous. Let me reiterate, that many of the things in my work are exaggerated, characterizations, and some are even grounded in very little truth, if any at all. They were jokes! Jokes that most people found funny! So, to make sure there is no further confusion with anybody's feelings getting hurt, or to make sure nobody feels their character got defamed, I'm going to go through each piece one by one and spell out everything that may be seen as offensive. So if you don't feel like reading my descriptions, be forewarned that some of the material you see may not be truthful of actual events. (Enter sarcasm: No shit, you're reading cartoons.)
