COMMENTARY
-
The comic starts by
showing how to begin the sale of a Playstation 2 video game
console. No, we were never told to interrupt customers to
get an upper hand, that was made up.
-
For about 2.5 of the
3 years I was there, we did keep video game systems in the
back, and we were always told it was for security reasons,
but many employees, including myself, always figured they
were really back there so customers had to make contact
with an employee and therefore would be offered accessories,
services, etc.
-
The salesman makes
a comment that the base system costs $299, but to get a decent
set-up, one would need to spend $450-$500; I was instructed
by a former supervisor to make nearly that identical sales
pitch to customers.
-
What I described as
coming with a standard Playstation 2 was true for that time.
